There are several ways you can augment speech with REACH Interface Author™. Three of them involve REACH Speech Keyboards™. A good example of Speech Keyboards™ is the built-in REACH Speech Keyboard System™.
The REACH Speech Keyboard System™ is a set of keyboards intended to provide a foundation on which you can build a more customized speech system to suit your needs. To use this system, simply select Speech Keyboards link on most Home keyboards.
The Speech Home Keyboard contains links to several different categories of speech topics.
Click on one of the categories (e.g., food/drink) and a Speech Keyboard™ is loaded containing dozens of words and phrases related to foods and drinks (see picture above).
Notice the larger key in the upper left corner. Press this key and it changes what is spoken by each key, doubling the number of possibilities. Just press the "Speech Home" key (picture of a house on the left side) and you return to the Speech Home Keyboard.
