Example of a Performance-Aid Keyboard™.
REACH Interface Author keyboards can be useful as an on-the-job performance aid for many different vocations. Performance-Aid Keyboards™ can reduce work time and errors. For example, if you have a job where you are repetitively entering large amounts of text, common sentences or paragraphs (up to 253 characters) can be assigned to a single key and typed with one key press.
While most useful Performance-Aid Keyboards™ are targeted for a specific job or setting, one example Performance-Aid Keyboard™ comes with REACH Interface Author™ to provide an example of what can be done. To try this type of keyboard, load the perfaid1.kbd (see above picture). Use the REACH Keyboard Author™ to fill in the appropriate information (e.g., name, phone number, address, etc.). After the right data have been entered, this keyboard can provide quick access to information on services, friends, acquaintances, etc.
