Work is arranged in the form of consulting agreements, grants, or contracts. Current and past projects include training development, and Human Factors & Ergonomics consultation; investigation of human performance degradation in microgravity; development of simulators; development of a cognitive/behavioral model of emergency evacuation; development of a cordless light pen and interface authoring system for hands-free access to a computer; development of three tools for fifth-generation educational and training environments (a low-cost three-dimensional anthropometry system, a hands-free, two-way, and cordless speech computer interface, and a laser pointing device); user test design; workload assessment; training evaluation; human factors questionnaire/survey development; human-factors analysis; work-site assessment; conducting user tests; development of a pointing device for laptop computers; and human-factors and ergonomics consultation of cases involving repetitive trauma disorders.
