AHF Software Return Policy
Applied Human Factors, Inc. (AHF) has made 30-day, fully functional "demonstration" versions of the most popular AHF software products available on its website (www.ahf-net.com). These programs can be downloaded for free. In addition, if you reside in the United States, AHF will mail you a free demonstration CD containing those same programs available on the AHF website if you have trouble downloading programs on your computer. In either case, if you find that 30 days is not enough time to fully evaluate these products, the 30-day trial period usually can be extended by contacting AHF (email: license@ahf-net.com). One of the primary reasons for making these products available for free evaluation is to minimize/eliminate the need for returning purchased products. For many reasons, AHF strongly encourages any potential customer to download and try these programs before purchasing them. If at all possible, each program should be tried/evaluated by the person who will be using the program, in the setting in which it will be used, performing the tasks that will be performed, and on the computer that will be used. Also, to the extent possible, it is recommended that a professional familiar with assistive technology be involved in this evaluation. These steps should be taken prior to purchasing any AHF product to help insure that the AHF product fulfills the expectations/needs of the end user (for example, helps the end user access a computer or communicate).
In the event that some unforeseen situation arises in which a customer wants to return an AHF product for a refund, AHF does allow refunds providing 1) AHF is notified within 30 days, 2) the product container has not been opened, and 3) no electronic license has been provided to license the product by email or phone. The following statements concerning returns and refunds is included in the License Agreement that 'You" the "End User" must agree to when installing an AHF demonstration or purchased software product: " If You purchased this product You must contact AHF within 30 days in order to be eligible for a refund (contact information is provided at the end of this License Agreement). Also, to be eligible for a refund You must return any media, packaging, documentation, etc. sent to You as part of Your purchase (as witnessed by a dated receipt). To receive any refund the box must be unopened. You will not be refunded shipping and handling costs (there are states and countries where such costs are refundable). You shall not be provided any refund if an electronic license already has been issued.'
