Frequent Question #1: Why upgrade to Version 5?
Answer: If you are using Microsoft Vista you need to upgrade to Version 5 of REACH™ and Version 2 of ScanBuddy™. If you are not using Vista but want to add either the "Sound-It-Out Phonetic Keyboard™" Add-On or the "REACH Smart Speech™" Add-On, you do not need to upgrade ScanBuddy but you do need to upgrade to REACH 5. Frequent Question #2: We already paid for the Smart Keys™ "Add-On" -- do I have to buy it again?
Answer: There is no additional upgrade cost for any add-ons you already purchased (such as Smart Keys™, Smart Lists™, Mayer-Johnson Pictures™, etc.).
Welcome REACH Scan Plus Lists™ Owners!
The current version of REACH™ is Version 5 (for Vista) and the current version of ScanBuddy™ is Version 2 (for Vista). Find the "Situation" below that is the closest to your situation.
Situation 1: We recently purchased REACH Scan Plus Lists™ - Version 4 (AHF processed our order after 10/1/2006). We want to upgrade REACH to Version 5 and ScanBuddy to Version 2.
Upgrade Solution: Until January 1, 2008 you can receive a free upgrade to REACH Scan Plus Lists™ - Version 5.
1) download and install REACH Version 5 (click here to start the download procedure)
2) run REACH 5, click on the green "Licensing.." button, and follow the directions for licensing REACH
3) download and install ScanBuddy Version 2 (click here to start the ScanBuddy 2 download procedure)
4) run ScanBuddy 2, click on the green "Licensing.." button, and follow the directions for licensing ScanBuddy™
Situation 2: We purchased a REACH Scan Plus Lists™ - Version 4, and AHF processed our order before September 1, 2006. We want to upgrade REACH to Version 5 and ScanBuddy to Version 2.
Upgrade Solution: Upgrade from a purchased Version 4 REACH Scan Plus Lists™ (not the free upgrade) to Version 5 for $239 (40% discount):
1) download & install the REACH 5 (click here to start the Version 5 download procedure)
2) download and install ScanBuddy Version 2 (click here to start the ScanBuddy 2 download procedure)
3) call AHF toll-free at US 888 243-0098 with credit card information OR, if you are with the organization that originally purchased REACH, mail or fax AHF a purchase order (Fax: US 210 408-0097)
4) after your purchase, AHF will provide you with a new Serial Number and instructions for licensing your upgraded REACH™ and ScanBuddy™
5) run REACH 5, press the "Licensing.." button on the first window and follow the directions for licensing
6) run ScanBuddy 2, press the "Licensing.." button on the first window and follow the directions for licensing
Situation 3: We purchased a REACH Scan Plus Lists™ - Version 4. We lost our CD, or we just want to upgrade REACH to the latest Version 4 and upgrade ScanBuddy to the latest Version 1.0.8.
Upgrade Solution: Upgrade from a purchased Version 4 REACH Scan Plus Lists™ to the latest version 4 of REACH and latest version 1 of ScanBuddy for FREE:

2) download and install ScanBuddy Version 1.0.8 (click here to start the ScanBuddy 1.0.8 download procedure)
3) run REACH 4, press the "Licensing.." button on the first window and follow the directions for licensing
4) run ScanBuddy 1.0.8, press the "Licensing.." button on the first window and follow the directions for licensing
