Frequent Question #1: Why upgrade to Version 5 from Version 3 or 4?
Answer: If you are using Microsoft Vista or want to add either the "Sound-It-Out Phonetic Keyboard™" Add-On or the "REACH Smart Speech™" Add-On, you must have Version 5.
Frequent Question #2: I already paid for the Smart Keys™ "Add-On" -- do I have to buy it again?
Answer: There is no additional upgrade cost for any "add-ons" you already purchased (such as Smart Keys™, Smart Lists™, Mayer-Johnson Pictures™, etc.).
Welcome REACH™ Owners!
The current version of REACH™ is Version 5 (for Vista). Find the "Situation" below that is the closest to your situation:
Situation 1: We recently purchased a REACH 4 product (AHF processed our order after 10/1/2006).
Upgrade Solution: Until January 1, 2008 you can receive a free upgrade to Version 5:
1) download and install Version 5 (click here to start the download procedure)
2) run REACH 5, click on the green "Licensing.." button, and follow the directions for licensing REACH
Situation 2: We purchased a REACH 4 product, and AHF processed our order before September 1, 2006.
Upgrade Solution: Upgrade to Version 5 from your purchased Version 4 REACH product for $197 (40% discount):
1) download & install the REACH 5 (click here to start the Version 5 download procedure)
2) call AHF toll-free at 888 243-0098 with credit card information OR, if you are with the organization that originally purchased REACH, mail or fax AHF a purchase order (Fax: 210 408-0097)
3) after your purchase, AHF will provide you with a new Serial Number and instructions for licensing your upgraded REACH™
4) press the "Licensing.." button on the first window and follow the directions for licensing.
Situation 3: We purchased a REACH 3 product (whether or not you received the free upgrade to Version 4) and want to upgrade to Version 5.
Upgrade Solution: Upgrade to Version 5 from your purchased Version 3 REACH product for $246* (25% discount):
1) download & install the REACH 5 (click here to start the Version 5 download procedure)
2) call AHF toll-free at US 888 243-0098 with credit card information OR, if you are with the organization that originally purchased REACH, mail or fax AHF a purchase order (Fax: US 210 408-0097)
3) after your purchase, AHF will provide you with a new Serial Number and instructions for licensing your upgraded REACH™ and ScanBuddy™

Situation 4: We purchased a REACH Version 3 product and would like to take advantage of the FREE upgrade AHF is offering to Version 4. We do not need Version 5 because 1) we are not running Microsoft Vista and 2) we don't want either the Sound-It-Out Phonetic Keyboard™ or the REACH Smart Speech™ "Add-Ons" that only are available in Version 5.
